Weyerhaeuser Foundation Grant
Weyerhaeuser - Idabel Lumber Mill issued one of seven grant checks to Idabel Public Schools in the amount of $10,000 to assist in their Safe Schools for Education project.  Idabel Public Schools goal as a school district is to provide several layers of security for the students, teachers and staff of Idabel Public Schools, so that education can be the number one priority.  "Weyerhaeuser sees the children of Idabel Public Schools as our family and future is proud to be a part of such a great project."  The grant application was completed by Debbie Brown and will help pay for safety equipment & training for #ipswarriors staff.
Weyerhaeuser Unit Manager Anthony Bivings accompanied several Weyerhaeuser employees to present the check to Supt. Doug Brown.
This grant program has helped in the past with playground upgrades and band uniforms. We are happy to have the support of our local businesses and their employees.
