Central’s drive through awards will take place Friday, May 8th down the alley beside the gym. Please adhere to the following schedule: 2nd grade 9-10:30, 3rd grade 10:30-12, 4th grade 12-1:30, 5th grade 1:30-3. Books and technology must be returned and fines paid before this time. It’s almost that time! Summer has flown by and the first day of school is quickly approaching! Each child should have received a letter indicating their teacher’s name and the date and time for their individual orientation. Please make every effort to attend at the scheduled appointment. The orientation is extremely important to a smooth first day and a connection to the child’s teacher. Please contact Central if you have not received your letter. Due do possible inclement weather, we have a change in the date of our Character Counts Carnival from Oct. 27 to Tues., Oct. 31st. This Friday we will wear red and black. Go Warriors!
Little Warrior Basketball will not practice this week or have games this Saturday. Practice will resume next Monday.
Idabel Central Elementary started a new attendance and discipline initiative for the 2017 - 2018 school year for grades second through fifth. These students will have a small monthly party. A drawing will be held each month and a student from each category will receive a prize. The prize for the month of September was a Joe Bot Robot. September winners are Eduardo Tirado recognized for no absences and Jalen Golston recognized for no discipline reports. At the end of the school year, students with no discipline reports and/or no absences will have a pizza party. Each month all names will be collected for a super drawing at the end of the year. End of the year winners will receive a bicycle. Central is excited to initiate this program in an effort to improve attendance and behavior as we "Prepare Champions for Life"!
Letters went out to your student that informed them whether they were a member of the 2017-2018 Idabel Central Broadway Kids! If your child did not make it this year, please encourage them to audition again next year. If your child received a Welcome Letter with Rules/Behavior Contract attached, please sign and return to Mrs. Bunn or Mrs. Martin. We have a MANDATORY Parent Meeting on Thursday, September 7th at 4p.m. in the Central Cafeteria. The fee and paperwork is due by Monday, September 11th, 2017. This is a hard deadline because we have to get shirts, music, etc. ordered as soon as possible. Our 1st Broadway Kids practice will be on Tuesday, September 19th from 3 to 4 p.m.
