Clayton Loard, a freshman, recently received a prestigious Oklahoma Hall of Fame Scholarship through 1st Bank & Trust, Broken Bow - In Memory of Robert Earl Young & Bob Burke, Oklahoma City - In Memory of Eugene & Lois Burke.
The scholarship is open to students grades 9-12 across all 77 counties of Oklahoma. Loard was required to complete several parts of the application and take a test over various Oklahoma and national history subjects. The $1,000 cash scholarship was presented at the annual Oklahoma Hall of Fame Scholarship Reception at the Gaylord-Perkins Museum in Oklahoma City.
