In a spirit of transparency, Idabel Public Schools wants to make sure our parents have all the information they need to make the appropriate decisions for the safety of their children. The information below describes the current situation on our campuses district-wide pertaining to the COVID-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, we have had some of our Warrior family affected by this pandemic. Please understand Idabel Public Schools' staff is working diligently every day to minimize the numbers of our families impacted by this virus. 

Current Isolated/Quarantined

    • 0 Primary South employees

  • 2 employees are quarantined due to “close contact”

    • 0 high school employees

    • 0 middle school employees

    • 0 MS/HS employee (travels to both campuses)

    • 2 Central Elementary school employees

    • 0 Primary South Elementary employees

26 Students are isolated/quarantined district-wide

  • 3 Students are Isolating due to a confirmed positive test result

Idabel Public Schools would like to thank our community for remaining vigilant in reducing the spread in our schools. Please remember if your child is showing symptoms or is sick, they should stay home. Contact your building secretary and communicate when your student needs to stay at home. The health and safety of our students and staff is our priority.

REMINDER: CDC-Close Contact Definition: For COVID-19, a “close contact” is anyone who was within 6 feet of an infected person for at least 15 minutes. An infected person can spread COVID-19 starting 48 hours (or 2 days) before the person had any symptoms or tested positive for COVID-19.
