Last night, Idabel Public Schools, in partnership with the Idabel Police Department, took the first steps toward hiring a School Resource Officer for our district.
The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain a top priority at Idabel Public Schools, and we are committed to taking proactive steps to keep our schools safe. We believe our schools and community are Better Together.
Idabel Senior, Clayton Loard scored a perfect 36 on his ACT this summer. Clayton is a member of the Warrior Football team, Key Club, & National Honor Society. Clayton said, "I just want people to know this has been a process and his teacher's from pre-k through now, his coaches, tutors, family, and his girlfriend have all contributed to this success." He definitely has worked hard for this. We are all very proud of him!
What a fantastic welcome for our new Idabel Public Schools staff! Our Administration Team provided professional development sessions to new teachers. Thank you to everyone who planned and led a session — your guidance helps set our educators up for success. Important Idabel Central Elementary School Hours Update!
Exciting news, families! In accordance with new Oklahoma state legislation (Senate Bill 1481) requiring 40 minutes of daily unstructured recess for elementary students, we are extending our daily recess time! Research shows that play and physical activity significantly boost student focus, well-being, and academic success.To accommodate this change, we are slightly adjusting our daily master schedule.
Updated Daily Schedule:
Doors Open: 7:30 AM (No change!)
School Hours: 7:45 AM – 3:00 PM
We appreciate your flexibility and support as we make the school day even better for our kids. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to the main office at 580-286-5346.
