Dear Parents and Guardians,
Over the past two days, the number of sick students at Primary South Elementary has continued to increase. Due to this rise, Primary South will transition to virtual instruction on Wednesday and Thursday of this week in an effort to mitigate the spread of illness.
Our goal is to allow time for these illnesses to subside so that students can return to school healthier next week. This temporary move is intended to help slow the spread and support the well-being of both students and staff.
Thank you for your flexibility and continued support as we work to keep our school community safe and healthy.
Again, the transition to virtual days is for Primary South students only. ALL OTHER SCHOOL sites will continue face-to-face instruction as usual.
If your Primary South student is not at school you need to contact their teacher to pick up their learning packets. Please do this immediately.

Once again, after assessing the roads for the safety of our students and staff we have deemed the roads once again impassable for our buses. While the temperatures have increased today, the low evening temperatures are refreezing the ice on the roads. In the best interest of student and staff safety, all schools in the Idabel School District will be closed tomorrow, 1-28-2026. Once again, there will be no instruction. ANNND once again, all after-school activities, sports, and events are cancelled.

The Idabel High School Academic Team has advanced to the OSSAA State Academic Bowl tournament after earning the title of Class 4A Area II Runner-Up. This achievement reflects the team’s hard work, dedication, and strong academic skills.
The OSSAA Academic Bowl is a competitive academic event sponsored by the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association. Teams from across the state compete by answering questions in a wide range of subjects, including mathematics, science, literature, history, fine arts, and current events. The competition promotes teamwork, critical thinking, and academic excellence among Oklahoma high school students.
The State Academic Bowl competition will be held on
Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Rose State College in Midwest City, Oklahoma.
