It is with great sadness Idabel Public Schools announces the loss of a Warrior icon. The legendary track coach Skippy Smith passed away this morning. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of Coach Smith’s family. He was a true Idabel Warrior that represented the Warrior Nation as an athlete and a coach. The winningest track coach in Oklahoma and a man that impacted countless young Idabel men and women over the years. GO WARRIORS!

The CDC recently announced a decrease in the length of time a person must quarantine if they come in close contact with someone who tests positive for COVID-19. Stay safe and wash your hands, mask up, keep your distance.
Due to new research the CDC has released new guidance on quarantines to implement immediately. Now exposures will quarantine for 10 days with no test and only 7 days with a negative COVID-19 test.

Idabel Middle School will return to in-person instruction on Monday, November 16th. The student COVID related absences are still under the district 35% threshold and we have some staff returning from quarantine. We will continue to monitor the situation and update you accordingly.
Idabel Alumnus Captain Grant Hamilton will be doing the flyover(with three of his squad mates) before the Miami Dolphins game this weekend. The Dolphins play the Chargers at 3:00 pm Central Time this Sunday.
(The flyover may or may not be televised.)
OSSAA just confirmed that Heavener Schools has forfeited Saturday’s playoff football game due to COVID related issues with the football team. Idabel will advance to the next round to play the winner of Spiro and Valliant at 7:00 pm on Friday, November 20th.
Any of our #ipswarriors students can drive to the High School parking lot or the Middle School stadium parking lot and logon to their chromebooks or iPads.
